I’m Thinking About Abortion. Who Can I Talk To?
Ugh, you’re pregnant. That was not supposed to happen, but it did. Now what? You know you have options: parenting, adoption, or abortion. Honestly, you don’t know very much about any of them, but you’re leaning towards abortion. You think you can do it without anyone knowing, as if it never happened, but is that the best decision? What would an abortion be like? What kind of abortion would I have? There are so many questions.
Oftentimes, you turn to your friend and ask them what they think, or maybe they just tell you what they think, but do they really know? You can Google it, but Google has a lot of different answers. How do I know which one is right? All you know is you feel overwhelmed, you wish you didn’t have to deal with this, and you just want the problem to disappear. Could an abortion really make you feel like the problem is solved, and you get to move on? You need want to talk to someone. Someone you can trust.
Gate Pregnancy Resource Center is designed to be the someone you want to talk to. We can discuss all your options! Like with parenting, we’ll talk over the concerns and possibilities, and if this is your choice, we can even provide you with material goods and education to help you be the best parent you can be.
We can talk about adoption, too. There is so much misinformation out there about adoption; you need someone to help you figure this out. Adoption is an amazing way to give your baby the life you want them to have, one that you might not have the time or money to provide.
Abortion is another area that has contradictory information. When can I have an abortion? What kind of abortion can I have? Does it hurt? Do I have to have my parents there? Can I take the abortion pill? If I do, what will happen? There are so many questions you want to ask, but perhaps you’re afraid, or maybe you don’t know what to ask yet. No matter where you are in the decision process, we are here to provide you with information and answers.
